I believe therapy should be more than just talking about your week-although we do do that.My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and draws from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based work, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions. More importantly, I tailor therapy to you because no two people heal in exactly the same way.Whether we're exploring old wounds, learning healthier coping strategies, or challenging long-held beliefs about yourself, my goal is to help you better understand yourself—not judge yourself.
As a Black woman and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand how important it is to have a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and affirmed.I welcome clients from all backgrounds: BIPOC, Queer, Poly/ENM and Kink Folks welcomed.
Yes. Your privacy is one of my highest priorities. What you share in therapy stays between us, and I take confidentiality seriously. Therapy is meant to be a safe space where you can speak openly without worrying that your personal information will be shared.Like all licensed therapists, there are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality. These situations are rare and include concerns about immediate safety, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, older adult, or dependent adult, or when records are required by a valid court order or other legal requirement. Before we begin working together, we'll review your informed consent paperwork so you'll know exactly what confidentiality means, how your information is protected, and the limited situations where I may be legally required to disclose information. If you ever have questions, I'm always happy to talk them through with you.
I accept and I am in network with most major insurance providers.Unfortunately I am not in network with Medicaid. Out of pocket/Private pay cost is $120 a session for individual therapy.
Life happens, I completely understand that unexpected situations come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible. As a courtesy, your first late cancellation or missed appointment may qualify for a one-time 50% reduction of the missed session fee. After that, late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) and no-show appointments may be charged the full session fee. This policy helps protect the time reserved specifically for you and allows me to provide consistent care to all clients. If an emergency arises, please reach out as soon as you're able. I understand that life isn't always predictable, and I'm happy to discuss extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
